WHAT IS SAFETY DATA SHEET (MSDS)?
MSDS takes its name from the first letters of the English abbreviation Material Safety Data Sheet. The Turkish meaning is; Material Safety Data Sheet, and its new name is used as Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
WHY IS THE SAFETY DATA SHEET NEEDED?
According to the properties of dangerous substances and chemical mixtures;
It is a mandatory document that must be prepared for all businesses that produce, sell, import and export chemical products.
It is a legal obligation to prepare a Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), especially for biocidal products and chemicals subject to İŞGÜM permission.
In addition, a Safety Data Sheet is required for the smooth completion of customs clearance for all exported hazardous chemicals and mixtures.
WHAT IS THE CONTENTS OF THE SAFETY DATA SHEET?
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS); It includes information about the hazards of the product and its components, usage, storage, transportation and emergency solutions, as well as many detailed information such as health, environment and fire precautions to be taken in case of exposure to danger, disposal, toxicology, eco-toxicology.
BY WHOM SHOULD THE SAFETY DATA SHEET BE PREPARED?
Safety data forms should be prepared by certified safety data form preparers by the current safety data form preparing certification bodies accredited by TÜRKAK within the scope of the current legislation.
